Briefly describe your company:
The Innovation &
Entrepreneurship Group is a core part of Imperial College Business School, and
sits within one of the world's leading universities. No other group in Europe
has such inter-disciplinary depth, funding, contacts or has published as widely
on innovation and entrepreneurship.
Why do you have audio files transcribed?
As part of our
research projects, we conduct interviews and require the files to be
transcribed in order to analyse/code them for research purposes. It is also
useful to get meetings transcribed to keep a record of the content for the
future.
How do you use these transcripts?
We transfer them to a
software package that helps organise qualitative data called Nvivo. As part of
our analysis we ‘code’ the text according to themes, so the text needs to be accurate
and specific. The themes will then be used to inform research outputs (we use
quotes from the interviews) such as publications and reports.
